This spring, We're launching a webinar series on AI tools for data science and statistics, co-sponsored by the ASA Section on Statistical Learning and Data Science. There are 7 sessions so far and more sessions are in the works.

Each session focuses on a specific tool or data science workflow, with live demos and files attendees can take away and use. Topics are based on what I use and how I use it...'cuz that's what I know!

Here's the current line-up:

  1. The AI Train Has Not Left the Station (Apr 2): Getting started with AI tools, no prior experience needed.

  2. Claude Code, Cowork, & Chat (Apr 9): A practical tour of Claude's three tools and how they fit a data science workflow.

  3. Claude Cowork for Data Scientists (May 21): Setting up Cowork with persistent memory and data science context files.

  4. Contextapalooza (May 27): A set of real context files and tailoring prompts to make AI tools work for your workflow.

  5. Claude Code for Data Scientists (Jun 4): A project architecture and setup that works well with AI coding tools.

  6. An AI Setup for Data Science Consulting (Jun 11): How to bring AI into client engagements without losing the data scientist in the loop.

  7. The Data Science Team of One (Jun 25): Where AI has the biggest multiplier effects in a solo data science workflow.

Recordings and materials will be made available for each session, with more to come!
